The Three Doshas

According to Ayurveda, everyone has a unique mix of three energies called doshas:

  1. Vata (air + space)
    • Linked to movement, creativity, flexibility
    • When imbalanced: anxiety, dry skin, constipation
  2. Pitta (fire + water)
    • Linked to digestion, metabolism, ambition
    • When imbalanced: anger, acidity, inflammation
  3. Kapha (earth + water)
    • Linked to strength, stability, calmness
    • When imbalanced: weight gain, sluggishness, congestion

Health = balance of your doshas. Illness = imbalance.
