The Three Doshas
According to Ayurveda, everyone has a unique mix of three energies called doshas:
- Vata (air + space)
- Linked to movement, creativity, flexibility
- When imbalanced: anxiety, dry skin, constipation
- Pitta (fire + water)
- Linked to digestion, metabolism, ambition
- When imbalanced: anger, acidity, inflammation
- Kapha (earth + water)
- Linked to strength, stability, calmness
- When imbalanced: weight gain, sluggishness, congestion
Health = balance of your doshas. Illness = imbalance.
